Earlier, I shared my most memorable talks on TED.com, and this time I thought I'd share a few that are especially entertaining yet cover a lot of interesting points.

Rory Sutherland: Perspective is everything

First of all, I'd listen to Rory Sutherland's accent no matter what he spoke of. Secondly, he spices up his talk with witty humour, and thirdly, he speaks of genuinely interesting things, which could and should be applied to real life more often to make it much less frelling annoying.

Chip Kidd: Designing books is no laughing matter. OK, it is.

Chipp Kidd on melko omalaatuinen hahmo, mutta kertoo kirjankansien suunnittelusta hauskasti ja kiehtovasti.
Chip Kidd is a rather peculiar character, but he talks about designing book covers in a funny and fascinating way.

Sheena Iyengar on the art of choosing

Toinen psykologiaa käsittelevä puheenvuoro, aavistuksen kahta ensimmäistä vakavampi, mutta tämäkin saa naurahtamaan omalle älyttömyydelleni parissa kohtaa. Ihminen on hassu olento.
Another talk on psychology, a bit more serious than the first two, but it did make me laugh at my insanity a couple of times. Humans are funny creatures.

Douglas Adams: Parrots, the universe and everything

I had planned on writing this post yesterday evening, but then I found this video, and before I knew it, it was approaching midnight. This one isn't by TED, and that's probably the reason I haven't stumbled upon it earlier. If you like the sense of humour of Douglas Adams, are interested in preserving endangered species and happen to be a skeptic as well, there are quite a few gems in this one-and-a-half-hour video. The Q&A at the end also has a couple treats for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy fans.
